Family Law

Everyone on staff here has a family.  We know how stressful divorce and custody can be.  We are in family courts every week fighting for our clients.  Not only does Jeff have years of experience, we have Toni Hutcherson, a Paralegal, who has worked right here in East Texas for decades handling family law.  She and Jeff will be in constant contact with you through your ordeal, yes an ordeal.  Any kind of family law issue is a trying time and whether it's a divorce with custody issues or a modification for custody or child support years after the divorce, you are going through a tough time.  We are about solutions and strategies.

Civil Law

Jeff has years of civil trial experience.  He has conducted jury trials in County and Justice of the Peace Courts ranging from auto accidents to contractual disputes.  We handle all types of civil cases.   Sometimes you just need to see if you have a legally binding contract and sometimes you have landlord-tenant problems.   Either way, we have the experience to take care of your civil law needs.  

Your child has a right to a jury trial just like an adult, but we can typically work with the authorities to keep your child at home and in school for non-violent offenses.  Come get a  consultation with your child and we can tell you what we can do to work through juvenile issues.

Often, children with juvenile issues also have problems at school.  Jeff actually has a Master of Science in Education and has dealt with special education disciplinary rules as a teacher and administrator.  sometimes, things a special education child does are not supposed to be handled by police.  Visit with us to see if your child's teachers and administrators have followed his or her behavior plan.
